Hank goes to investigate, climbing into the cockpit of a homemade mecha suit. Hank pilots his mech to the farm's pasture, seeing an odd glowing portal opening in the middle of empty air... with the farm's cattle right in front of it. From the portal emerges a pack of strange, insectoid creatures called DeeBees, which begin to attack the herd. Hank is easily able to use his suit's weapons to deal with the DeeBees, though he notices they are acting unusually aggressive this night. Just as it seems the fight is over, Hank's wife tells him that multiple breaches are opening along the ridge at the far edge of their property.
