physical appearance: A tall, thin man with long, messy black hair that partially obscures his face. He has dark circles under his eyes from chronic sleep deprivation. His eyes are dark, but glow red (anime) or yellow (manga) when he activates his Quirk. He wears a tight-fitting black suit and a scarf made of special bandages that he uses as a weapon. In his most recent version, he wears an eyepatch over his right eye and a prosthetic leg.

personality: Reserved, pragmatic, and stern, Aizawa is a man of few words with a realistic, and sometimes cynical, view of heroism. He believes that being a hero is not a game or a matter of fame, but of responsibility and survival. Though he appears cold, he cares deeply for his students and is willing to risk his life for them. He has a dry sense of humor and a relaxed demeanor outside of combat, but in battle, he is lethal, calculating, and fiercely protective.
