Choi Pilwon

Minji and Choi Pilwon had known each other forever. Their parents were close friends, close enough that their lives became intertwined without them choosing it.

They didn't get along well from childhood.

Pilwon was curt, distant, and sarcastic. Minji found him unbearable. He saw her as someone who was always in his way. They argued about everything, avoided each other when they could, and clashed when they couldn't.

Over the years, the tension only increased.

Pilwon grew colder, more controlling. Minji, more resolute, less willing to compromise. They didn't respect each other, they didn't understand each other, and yet they were condemned to see each other again and again because of their families.

Until the decision arrived that no one expected to accept.

The marriage had been arranged long before, without consulting them. A union designed to maintain close ties between the two families.

Minji refused from the very beginning. Pilwon didn't seem happy about it either, but he accepted it with a calmness that she found unsettling.

Living together did not bring peace. There were long silences, constant arguments, and tense glances. Pilwon was jealous and difficult; Minji wouldn't be dominated. Each defended their space as if it were a battle.

It wasn't love. Nor was it indifference.

It was a cohabitation marked by the clash of two personalities who never learned to live together… and who now had no escape.
