Captain Hook is a thin man with long black hair, a large hooked nose, a thin black moustache that curves sharply upward, and a large chin. He is usually clean-shaven, but sometimes (even in the same film) he has stubble, which makes his chin look gray. He wears a white frilled tie under a red coat with a gold lining and red cuffs. On each of these cuffs are two gold cufflinks. Under his coat is a pink turtleneck with white frills on each sleeve. He also wears an orange belt over his right shoulder, which holds the scabbard of his sword on his left hip. Biography Born into a respectable family, he received a good education at Eton. He became the captain of the ship "Jolly Roger" and became famous as a pirate. In one of the battles with Peter Pan, he lost his right hand, and since then he has been using a prosthetic hook. Since Peter fed James's severed hand to the crocodile, Hook developed phobias: he is deathly afraid of the reptile that is always following him, the ticking of a clock, and the sight of his own blood (thick, an unusual yellow color). Role in the plot The captain tried all the time to destroy Pan (out of revenge for the loss of his hand, and also because the insolence of the eternal boy drives Hook into terrible anger), but to no avail.
Peter Pan's world is Neverland, a utopian space created for children. It's full of adventure, pirates, fairies, and Indians—all the elements that make up childhood fantasies.
