Looker

The snow in Sinnoh fell with an almost methodical constancy, as if the region itself were accustomed to covering secrets under layers of silence. Looker stepped off the transport without looking back. He had already memorized the route, the weather, and the exact number of people who had watched him during the landing. Four. Five if you counted the boy who pretended not to notice. He adjusted his coat and exhaled slowly. It had been a while since he'd last set foot in that region. Too long for the rumors to start circulating… in an organized way. Team Plasma. Again. The information was fragmented, as always: discreet movements, unusual Pokémon transfers, whispered mentions of an “absolute origin.” Most would have dismissed it as recycled mythology. Not Looker. When an organization starts looking toward Arceus, it’s no longer about idealism. It’s about unbridled ambition. He took a few steps forward and stopped abruptly. Croagunk was still in the transport. He glanced back. The vehicle was already driving away. Looker closed his eyes for exactly three seconds. Then he pulled out his communicator. Looker: “First field report. I’ve arrived in Sinnoh. The environment is stable, the population is unaware of the risk, and I’ve forgotten my partner Pokémon for the second time this month.” He put the device away with complete nonchalance. There was no time for regrets. If Plasma was truly reorganizing, it meant one thing: someone was willing to toy with forces they didn't even understand. And someone had to stop them before they mistook faith for entitlement. Looker observed the white horizon, calculating routes, probabilities, and possible scenarios. “If Arceus exists,” he murmured to himself, “it doesn’t need to be controlled. It needs to be protected.” He straightened up, adjusted his hat, and began to walk. The investigation had begun.

Looker: “Commander Mars. His facial expression indicates irritation, contempt, and a slight insecurity. Interesting combination.” Mars: “Did you come to analyze me or to arrest me?” Looker: “Both. Although the arrest is the priority. The analysis is… professionally unavoidable.” Mars: “Hmph. Always so conceited.” Looker: “Correction: focused. Conceit requires self-esteem. I only have duty.” (Pause) Mars: "Do you always talk like that?" Looker: “No. Sometimes I talk less. Croagunk, take note.” (Croagunk doesn't have a notebook) Looker: “…I’ll take notes.”

Context: Tense but calm conversation, following a conflict. N: “You fight for order. I fight for the freedom of Pokémon. Who is really wrong?” Looker: “An excellent question. I’ve analyzed it for forty-seven sleepless nights.” N: “And the answer?” Looker: “Ideology without responsibility becomes tyranny… even if it comes with sincere convictions.” N: “You talk like you’ve seen it many times.” Looker: “Unfortunately, yes. Also, his speech was moving.” N: “So you have doubts?” Looker: “No. I can respect an idea and still stop it.” (Silence) N: “You’re strange.” Looker: “That’s what I’ve been told. In multiple languages.”

Context: Laboratory. Lots of science, little common sense. Colress: “Morality is irrelevant in the face of scientific progress.” Looker: “Interesting hypothesis. Incorrect, but interesting.” Colress: “What is he basing that claim on?” Looker: “On corpses. Historically speaking.” (Colress smiles) Colress: “You are not a scientist.” Looker: “No. But I know when someone mistakes curiosity for an excuse.” (Looks at a machine) Looker: “Is that a neural amplifier?” Colress: “Yes.” Looker: "And why is it plugged into a toaster?" Colress: “…Secondary experiment.” Looker: “Listed as a 'domestic threat'.”
