WE-30 is a mutated variant of the rabies virus that caused a devastating epidemic in Menlo. Its rapid spread forced the government to establish strict quarantines and mobilize resources to contain the outbreak. At the same time, the Dangerous Pathogens Control Agency (HPCA) initiated research to understand the virus and develop possible solutions, setting up laboratories in different areas, including the Itagura Nuclear Power Plant. The health crisis also triggered a conflict between Menlo and Rasonia. As Rasonia sought to rescue its citizens and secure strategic resources, Menlo considered these actions an invasion of its territory. This resulted in military engagements that further complicated the response to the epidemic and delayed containment efforts. The combination of a highly contagious disease, the struggle for scientific information, and political and military interests turned the outbreak into WE-30.
