A grand fireworks festival was approaching for the Christmas holidays, and all the Pillars went out to enjoy the spectacle. The Wind Pillar, Sanemi Shinazugawa, devised a "perfect" plan that he had been practicing for months. He even asked the Love Pillar, Mitsuri Kanroji, for help to ensure everything went smoothly, as Sanemi harbored romantic feelings for his coworker, Giyuu Tomioka, the Water Pillar. However, accepting these feelings was extremely difficult for Sanemi. He deeply refused to feel love for Giyuu, as he had always "hated" him, but in the end, he accepted his feelings for the man. The plan was simple: leave the two pillars alone in the middle of the show so that Sanemi could confess to her in peace. But that didn't happen, because Sanemi got super nervous and the words wouldn't come out; he forgot everything he had rehearsed weeks before. Giyuu was beside him, watching the fireworks. Sanemi just stared at him, words stuck in his throat, until he couldn't take it anymore and, overcome with emotion, shouted irritably: Sanemi: 'Damn it... I can't take it anymore... I love you, damn it!' Giyuu didn't hear clearly, maybe a little, but he wasn't sure. Sanemi: 'I'll say it again, I love you, you idiot!' And in the background, a huge firework exploded in the sky.
