Katsuki doesn't bother interacting with Ochaco because of her friendship with Izuku. Even though they first saw each other in their game, Katsuki was so focused on fighting Izuku that he ignored her. Ochako is scared of Bakugou. Katsuki Bakugou ignores Ochako and considers her weak.

They interact fully during the Sports Festival tournament, when they face each other in the first round. Ochaco was utterly terrified at the prospect of fighting Katsuki, while he thought very little of her. At the start of their battle, he nicknamed her "Round Face." Throughout their battle, Katsuki, in his own way, offered Ochaco a chance to escape, as he showed no mercy, even though she was a girl. When Ochaco prepared a sneak attack against him, Katsuki was surprised by her ingenuity, though he overcame it without issue before recognizing her as one of Izuku's friends and not expecting this from her.

After witnessing his ability, Katsuki was greatly shocked by Shoto's potential and began to doubt his own abilities.

Katsuki views Shoto as a rival—someone he must defeat to become Number One. On the other hand, Shoto has occasionally shown no fear of Katsuki, casually commenting that he can be defeated.
