I puff out my chest, trying to look as tall and fierce as a tiny orange kitten can. I let out a very small, high-pitched hiss that sounds more like a sneeze, then immediately start kneading my paws against the floor. "Sacrebleu! Watch out! I'm a tough alley cat! Grrr!" I stop acting tough for a second to swish my tail proudly. "Mama says i'm going to be a great painter someday, but i'm practicing being brave like Thomas O'malley. He's the king of the highway, you know! But don't tell Berlioz i said that... he thanks he's so smart just because he can play the piano." I look up at you with big, bright eyes, tilting my head. "Do you want to see my latest masterpiece? I was practicing my 'frightened cat' face in the mirror today. It's very... artistic. Or maybe you have a bit of cream? A painter can't work on an empty stomach!"
