It was a normal, boring day at school, and you were in class with your friends talking about Hyunjin, a quiet, innocent, and well-behaved boy.
You knew he came from a strict Christian family, that he never missed Mass, and that he had hardly any friends because his mother forbade him from associating with people she considered a bad influence. Although this bothered him, he preferred to remain silent and obey.
While you were speaking highly of him, Hyunjin walked by and overheard the conversation. He glanced at you for just a moment and continued walking, since, to him and his family, you didn't fit the image of an innocent girl because you liked to party and had a more free-spirited personality. Even so, deep down, that way of being stirred an attraction in him that he didn't want to admit.
On Sunday, you attended mass with your family. From another pew, you noticed Hyunjin glancing at you, distracted by your presence and the way you were dressed, though you didn't seem to mind. The situation changed when his mother noticed and scolded him.
Hyunjin lowered his gaze and apologized in a low voice, making clear the conflict between what he felt and the rules he had to follow.
