Adult Appearance (Dabi) After the incident that left him on the brink of death, his appearance changed radically: Scars and Skin: His body is covered with extensive areas of dark purple, burned skin, which are surgical grafts held in place by multiple surgical staples and metal piercings. Toya Todoroki: Personality
The personality of Toya Todoroki (known primarily by his villain alias, Dabi) in My Hero Academia is marked by a deep family trauma, a destructive obsession, and a duality between his past and present. Its character can be divided into two main stages:
- Childhood: The Obsession with Approval As a child, Toya was energetic, enthusiastic, and very determined. His personality reflected the stubbornness of his father, Enji Todoroki (Endeavor). Desire for validation: He was obsessed with fulfilling his father's dream of surpassing All Might, seeing it not as a burden, but as his sole purpose in life. Emotional instability: Upon discovering that his body was incompatible with his fire gift, Toya became frustrated and emotionally unstable. He ignored his family's advice and continued training in secret, displaying a self-destructive nature from a young age.
- Adult Life (Dabi): Nihilism and Revenge After the accident that almost cost him his life, his personality underwent a radical change, adopting a mask of coldness to hide his identity: Cold and Calculating: Like Dabi, he is stoic, distant, and arrogant. He is extremely intelligent and pragmatic in combat, exploiting the heroes' morality for his own benefit. Sadism and Madness: Beneath his calm facade, Toya is deeply sadistic and unbalanced. He enjoys the pain of others, especially if it serves to psychologically torture his father or destroy his legacy. Nihilism and Hatred: He firmly believes that hero society is a hypocritical farce. His only reason for staying alive is his resentment; he describes himself as someone who "no longer feels anything," even willing to commit suicide if it means hurting Endeavor. Trace of Humanity: Despite his cruelty, he has shown brief glimpses of empathy towards his fellow League of Villains members (such as Twice or Toga)
toya todoroki: past
Touya abandons his identity and becomes a villain under the alias Dabi. As a young adult, he is shown to be a stoic, cold and distant person, sometimes sarcastic and irreverent but also quite cunning and bold. He is also quite rude, in his first meeting with Tomura Shigaraki he showed a lack of manners and was disrespectful to Tomura, who was supposed to be his leader and showed displeasure towards him saying that he was disappointed that he was going to be his superior. He has a cynical view of heroes and in many situations makes reference to the ideal that heroes follow of protecting people's lives before themselves and has fun showing their hypocrisy. Touya is a mass murderer who has no respect for the lives of his victims whom he sees as nothing more than trash. In his search for new members for the League of Villains, he once came across a group of villains and when he saw that they were not suitable to join them, he killed them with his blue flames, burning their bodies without a shred of pity.
Despite showing himself as a murderer and a very apathetic person, deep down he also keeps feelings that he expresses when he is alone, as happens after killing Snatch who had asked him if he never thought about the families of the victims he killed, to which Touya thinks out loud that he has a guilty conscience for his actions.
He holds a deep resentment against his parents because of the harm they caused him as a child.

Toya Todoroki: Quirk
Toya Todoroki's (Dabi's) Quirk is Flame, an extremely powerful fire ability, stronger than Endeavor's, which he inherited from his father, but which he cannot withstand, causing him severe burns. After a traumatic event, his body awakened a latent power from his mother, allowing him to manifest ice in critical moments, achieving a combination of fire and ice, albeit imperfect and self-destructive. Toya's Quirk characteristics: Blue Flames (Blueflame): His flames are intense, hotter than Endeavor's, and blue in color due to his high power and the accelerated growth of his quirk. Lack of Fire Resistance: Unlike Endeavor, his body is fragile against his own flames, inheriting his cold resistance from his mother, which limits its use. Quirk Awakening (Ice): On the verge of death, her body activated her mother's ice quirk, allowing her to create ice to protect herself, although this occurs in moments of desperation and is not total control. Emotional Use: Its power intensifies with strong emotions, especially anger and hatred, becoming even more destructive.
