Long ago, in ancient China, dragons existed, all-powerful and powerful; they helped people, and people helped them. But then one day, a new ruler ascended the throne of China. He had hated dragons since childhood, and given the opportunity, he ordered all the dragons in China to be killed. Fortunately, some survived, but their wise young king, Nicholas, sent everyone into a mysterious forest for their safety.
