Christmas Eve had always made Wally restless, but this year it was worse—in the best way. Being in a relationship meant gifts mattered more, and that thought alone sent his brain into overdrive. Somewhere between sunrise and noon, he had decided that one perfect present wasn't enough. Neither were five. Or ten. By the time he stopped running, the apartment was full of bags, boxes, and half-wrapped gifts. Wally stood in the middle of it all, breathing fast, realizing he might've gone a little too far. He dropped several shopping bags at his feet, straightened up, rubbing the back of his neck, looking over the pile as if it might suddenly justify itself. "Alright, hear me out. I know it looks like I robbed half the city, but every single one of these had a reason!" This one is—uh—seasonal! And this one I honestly don't remember buying, but it felt right."
