Qin Shi Huangdi

Qin Shi Huang's design was revealed at the beginning of Chapter 11 of Shuumatsu no Valkyrie Volume 3, The Legend of Lü Bu: The Flying General, which was released in December 2020. It was explicitly stated that his design in The Legend of Lü Bu was identical to his design in Shuumatsu no Valkyrie. In Chinese culture, centipedes are associated with powerful magical potions, despite the fact that their bite is poisonous. Thus, the centipede tattoo on Qin Shi Huang's right cheek likely symbolizes his pursuit of the elixir of life, known in Chinese as Xiandan (仙丹). The techniques in Chiyu are based on the Four Symbols: The Dragon Claw of Mount Tai is based on the Azure Dragon of the East. The Drifting Turtle is based on the Black Turtle of the North. The White Tiger Lunar Arc is based on the White Tiger of the West. The Sky Phoenix Power Embrace is based on the Purple Bird of the South. Although the letter in the name actually comes from Fenghuang (鳳凰), another mythological fire bird similar to the Purple Bird (朱雀). The Goujian Sword is a real sword that belonged to Goujian, one of the last rulers of Yue during the Spring and Autumn Period.

In his battle with Hades, Qin not only kept pace with his countless shadows and lightning-fast strikes, but was ultimately able to outmaneuver him, demonstrating his agility and reflexes in combat. Thanks to his speed, he can dodge attacks, anticipate weaknesses, and counterattack when his opponent is caught off guard. His incredible tenacity was further demonstrated by the fact that he was able to fight Tiyo for six entire days without showing any signs of exhaustion or fatigue.[23] During his battle with Hades in Ragnarök, the Emperor suffered numerous horrific injuries, both from the King of Helheim and due to his vision problems. He had abrasions across almost his entire body, a large hole in his stomach, and even lost an entire arm, yet he endured everything that was thrown at him and continued to fight, eventually emerging victorious in the seventh round. Enhanced Vision: Despite constantly wearing a blindfold, Qin Shi Huang fights without difficulty even when his vision is partially obscured. General Abilities: Qin Shi Huang is arguably the most powerful ruler in human history, as he was able to defeat the demon god Chiyou,[21] hurl Ares with one hand effortlessly, and fight evenly with the king of Helheim, Hades. During his time on Earth, he managed to defeat and conquer all six kingdoms of the Warring States period and unify China in a very short period of time, becoming the first human to do so. Brunnhilde even considered using Qin Shi Huang, along with Michel Nostradamus and Leonidas, against Poseidon, considered the "God of Gods" and "Zeus of the Seas," in the third match of Ragnarok. Divine Strength:[22] Qin Shi Huang possesses unfathomable physical strength, as he was able to easily destroy several walls of the Valhalla Arena corridors, as well as crush even the likes of Hades, who himself boasted greater physical strength, as evidenced by how he manages to withstand the immense force of his swings and lunges, and even overpower the Titan Persephone with his Celestial Phoenix Force Embrace and Drifting Turtle, where he then even flipped him over, slamming him onto the ground and splitting it. He is strong enough to throw Ares with one hand and even pierce Hades's divine flesh with the Dragon's Claw of Mount Tai, creating a hole in Hades' side, and the White Tiger Moon, flaying the flesh from Hades' forearm. His Shi Huang Yan Strike was powerful enough to counter and briefly restrain the opponent's Ichor-Eos, which had previously easily overcome his Heavenly Phoenix Power Embrace and injured several of his fingers and shoulder, despite the supreme defense of his technique and his own natural endurance. Qin Shi Huang was strong enough to repel the power of another Ichor-Eos with Shi Huang's Defense and Yan Strike, and was able to destroy Ichor: Desmos after striking the Chi Stream with Drifting Turtle, despite the trident being empowered by Hades' blood.

As a child, Qin Shi Huang was much more meek and weak-willed. He grew up in enemy territory, where he constantly faced the hatred and anger of the Zhao people, who despised him for his country's actions. Because of their hostility, Qin Shi Huang considered himself a cursed child[17] and suppressed negative emotions such as anger or sadness. He always wore an unnatural smile on his face in the hope that one day people would forgive him.[18] Only after he met his adoptive mother, Chongyang, did Qin Shi Huang begin to show his true feelings, confident that he could live the life he wanted. Qin Shi Huang loved Chongyang very much and, before her death, promised her that he would become the greatest ruler in history. He still strives to fulfill this promise.[19][20]

Qin Shi Huang appears to be very self-assured. When he accidentally found himself in one of the gods' VIP rooms, Qin Shi Huang brazenly ordered Ares and Hermes to "grovel" before him, declaring that wherever he sat was his throne.[5] Qin Shi Huang believes that the road is where it leads, and often disregards what others tell him, instead doing whatever he wants. For example, he ignored Brunnhilde's order to remain in the reception room[6] or didn't even bother to train with Volund and Alvitr before the fight.[7] Qin Shi Huang's greatest pride lies in being the first emperor of China. He did not believe that any of the rulers of China who lived before him were true rulers, because they obeyed Chiyou out of fear[8] and shamelessly confronted the Demon God, smiling in his face without flinching[9], deliberately feeding him a soldier made of mud[10], and engaging in combat with the supposed God without hesitation.[8] At the beginning of his struggle with Hades, Qin Shi Huang looked down on him and proudly declared that he was the only one who could truly rule in this world.[11] Despite this insistence, Qin Shi Huang showed that he was willing to accept someone as his equal if they proved themselves. After Hades defeated him the first time, Qin Shi Huang began calling him "King of Helheim" and continued to address him as such.[12][13] Despite his attitude towards people, Qin Shi Huang got along well with those he liked. He asked Hermes his name after the god served him a delicious mead drink[14]; he was concerned and apologetic to Alvitre when she suffered because of him[15]; and he showed great respect and friendliness towards Hades, even considering him a friend by the end of their battle.[16]

Qin Shi Huang is a man of average height, comparable in build to Jack the Ripper. He has a muscular build and broad shoulders. He has black hair cut short with a red streak on the right side of his face, and black eyes with wide white pupils.

Qin Shi Huang wears an intricate, off-the-shoulder robe reminiscent of those worn by Chinese empresses. He also wears a blindfold adorned with a patterned band. He has two centipede tattoos: the first is on his right cheek, extending vertically downward from his right eye, which is covered by a blindfold; the second is on his back. He wears protective guards on the middle and index fingers of his right hand, as well as on the ring, middle, and index fingers of his left hand.

Qin Shi Huang is the representative of humanity in the seventh round of Ragnarok, fighting against Hades.

His real name was Ying Zheng (嬴政えいせい, Eisei),[1] and Qin Shi Huang, or Shi Huangdi (秦し始こう皇てい, Shikotei), is a title that literally means "First Emperor of Qin." He is the founder of the Qin Dynasty and the first emperor to unify China. He is considered by many to be the greatest emperor in Chinese history.

He was also called the "King of All Beginnings" (始まりの王, Hajimari no O),[2] the "King of Humans" (人の王, Hito no O)[3] and the "Greatest King" (最高の王, Saikō no O)[4] during his battle with Hades.
