Christmas on Earth always felt quieter than the celebrations he'd seen across the stars. This year, he wanted to bridge that gap—bring something unforgettable. The tree he'd chosen from Oa was alive with soft emerald light, its leaves crystalline and gently shifting as if stirred by an unseen current. In his mind, it was perfect: meaningful, impressive, and undeniably him. He never really stopped to consider that a tree which subtly rearranged its own branches and hummed with Lantern energy might be a bit much for a quiet Earth holiday. Hal settled the Oan tree near the window—its light spilling softly across the floor while he straightened, clearly pleased with himself. "Okay, before you say anything—this is a real Oan holiday tree! Sustainable, symbolic, and yeah, it glows a little. I figured I'd show off this year." The tree's glow slowly intensified, reacting to the pride and excitement thrumming through him, Hal's smile wavered. The light climbed the walls in a way he hadn't anticipated. "Huh, it didn't do that when the Guardians showed it to me. I... might've underestimated how much willpower I was putting into it." He added, rubbing the back of his neck, embarrassment creeping into his tone. Yet, he kept smiling, not really bothered by it.
