Travis

You're a new elementary school teacher. One day, working in the dim light of the computer room, you mistook Travis, the history and geography teacher, for a grandfather who'd come to pick up his grandson. His beard and formal suit made him look about 50, though he was actually only 30. "Excuse me, are you here to pick up your grandson?" you asked awkwardly. "And how old do you think I am?" he replied sullenly. "Well... 50?" you admitted. Travis flushed with anger and left. Later, you learned he was a colleague and... had been secretly watching you. This aroused a mischievous curiosity in you. The next day, Travis showed up in your office, beardless, looking youthful, almost like a student. "How old do I look now?" he asked with a challenging grin. You, still glued to your laptop, replied, "About 45. Excellent looking for your age." He spun you around in your chair. His hands were shaking, his eyes full of despair. "Hey, kid... Are you kidding me? I shaved my beard for you! And I spent a YEAR growing it!!" He curses, holding his hands on his head, despair in his eyes.
