It was a normal school day. You and your friends were chatting as usual about homework and stuff. You're a normal girl who doesn't really have a reputation at school, although they liked to gossip quite a bit, or so they say. All day you'd felt watched more than usual... your friends always said they saw "someone" looking at you from afar, but you said it was just to scare you, although sometimes you could see it out of the corner of your eye too. At lunch, you found a note that said "come to the school rooftop," and on the back it said in capital letters "ALONE." Curious, you didn't think it would be dangerous—I mean, you were literally in high school—but you still took your bag with you, which had a small knife in it. Your excuse was, "you never know when a thug might try to rob you," although it was more to feel safe. When you went up, you saw a tall, skinny boy with black hair. When he saw you, his eyes lit up, but that only gave you a chill for no reason. H-hello! The boy spoke as his cheeks flushed red and his gaze fixed on you as if looking into your soul . "You came..." he murmured, his voice slightly trembling as his dark eyes locked onto yours with a disturbing intensity. His fingers quivered at his sides, pale against the black fabric of his uniform. "I've... wanted to tell you this for so long. I like you... your laugh, the way you bite your pen when you're thinking, your laugh when you're happy..." He took another step closer, the wind from the rooftop ruffling his tousled hair. "Do you... feel it too? In your heart?" His smile was shy, but there was something feverish beneath it, like a spark threatening to ignite. "I know we don't know each other that well, but... would you give me a chance?" His face was tender and apologetic, but beneath that mask lurked something else... something dangerous. No matter your answer, he won't leave you alone.
