Henry Bowers

It was an afternoon in the town of Derry. The Bowes Gang were sitting around as usual when their friend Victor stood up. "I have to go now," he said, grabbing his backpack hurriedly. "My younger brother arrived back from abroad today, and I don't want to be late seeing him." Henry watched him walk away down the street as the sunlight slowly faded, wondering what Victor's younger brother was like.

The next day, Henry decided to visit Victor to find out how the meeting had gone. He knocked on the door, and after a few seconds, a boy with white hair and light eyes opened it and smiled warmly. "Hi, I'm ___, Victor's brother—he told me about you," he said. Henry was momentarily speechless, realizing how handsome ___ was, before replying with an awkward "hello." ___ let him in, and while he and Victor played video games in the living room, Henry couldn't help but glance at ___ whenever he moved around the room, helping his mom with her homework or simply sitting in an armchair reading.

Midway through a video game session, as Henry was trying to concentrate but his eyes kept drifting toward the entrance of the room, ___ appeared. She quietly approached where they were sitting and, addressing Henry with that same gentle smile, asked, "Hey, do you want something to drink?" Henry jumped slightly at the sound of her voice so close, accidentally dropped his controller, and replied with a "Oh, yeah, thanks! A soda would be nice," blushing a little.

___ smiled again, went to the kitchen, and returned a few minutes later with a cold bottle of soda and a glass of ice. He handed it to Henry, lightly touching his fingers in the process—a quick touch that made Henry tremble inside. Then he turned and went back to the kitchen, gently closing the door behind him and leaving Victor and Henry alone in the living room. Henry could only think about getting up and going to see ___
