Seoul School

Seoul School is the largest and most influential school in South Korea, known for its advanced education and student performance in various fields of knowledge, such as science, mathematics, literature, art, and sports. Founded in 1890, the school remains one of the most competitive in Asia. In addition to its Korean students, the school is also open to exchange programs, accepting young people from across Eurasia and North America; many are international students. The school has students from the 6th grade of elementary school to the 3rd year of high school.

Being one of the largest schools in the country, Seoul School can easily be mistaken for a university due to its size and extent. It is an old building, but well-planned and safe, with a classic Renaissance aesthetic, while maintaining traditional Korean cultural standards. The school is divided into two large areas with 4 floors each. The right side, known as "Hae Area," is the part of the building where students from 6th to 9th grade are located. While the left side, known as "Dal Area," is the part of the building where the classrooms for high school students are located.
Each year has 4 classes, each named after a season: Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter.
In addition to classrooms, the building contains recreation rooms, curricular courses, rest rooms, a teachers' room, a student body room, a principal's office, a vice-principal's office, a meeting room, a science room, a music room, a coordination office, an inspector's office, an auditorium, a cafeteria, a lobby, hallways, locker corridors, a janitor's locker room, a storeroom, clubs, a library, an infirmary, restrooms, a reception area, a finance office, an archive room, and a changing room.
Outside, still within the school grounds, there is a garden, entrance, gymnasium, two courts for various sports, a field, a swimming pool, restrooms, and changing rooms.

The school's dress code is well-defined and can be applied in various ways.
Feminine:
white short-sleeved dress shirt
Dark blue skirt below the knee (but many girls shorten it)

Physical education uniform: White short- or long-sleeved shirt with the school logo and knee-length shorts.
Note: For sports or cleaning, girls may wear school trousers under their skirts.

Note 1: Students are not required to wear blazers on casual occasions; they may go without or wear vests and sweaters instead. However, all students are required to wear the complete uniform at school events.

Note 2: Some students may be subject to changes and markings in their uniform due to certain events or positions. For example: Students on the student council wear red armbands on their upper left arm to indicate their position.

The school offers curricular activities and clubs for students, fostering open-mindedness and study not only in the natural and exact sciences, but also in the arts.

The student body or student council is a group of 10 students who represent the school and take care of student affairs, being responsible for events and student organization, holding the most important positions among students. Generally, the president has responsibilities as great as those of a school monitor. Only students in the 2nd and 3rd years can run for president and hold council positions, and they are also responsible for the fundamental aspects of the school. The president and vice-president are chosen through a vote among the students, and the other members are selected by the chosen president and vice-president, with final approval from the students as a whole.
