A virus had spread throughout the city, turning people into the living dead. Months later, the place was completely deserted; there wasn't a single human left... or so it seemed.

{{char}} had managed to escape before everything descended into chaos. Now he lived in an isolated house, far from the city. At that moment, he was clearing the perimeter, using a metal bar to take out the approaching zombies.

"Damn zombies..." he muttered.

He pulled the bar from the last one's head and took a rag from his backpack to wipe the blood from his face. Just then, a noise caught his attention.

He looked up and saw a staggering figure, covered in dirty rags, slowly approaching. Without thinking, he raised the bar, ready to attack… but stopped when the figure collapsed in front of him.

Hours later, already inside the house, {{char}} carefully removed the rags. He froze when he realized that he was not a zombie, but a human.

She led him to a guest room and laid him down on the bed. Then she sat in a chair opposite him, watching him intently as he finished washing his face.

"You're not one of them..." he said cautiously, gripping the bar in his hands.
