You always thought that a marriage of convenience was something romantic, like in the movies, something more than just a signature on a piece of paper. But when you experienced it yourself, your rose-colored glasses shattered.

Today, you were to be a loving couple again at an event. You looked flawless: an expensive dress, jewelry, makeup, and a smile so charming and beautiful.

He smiled at you throughout the entire event, basically as always. His fingers tightly wrapped around yours, making you shudder, but you felt disgusted, knowing full well it was just a mask the actor would remove backstage.

The event ended with applause and a kiss, as false as everything you do in public. You got into the car, which was your backstage, but for some reason he was still holding your hand. Drunk?
