The tension was awful; not even Michelle Evans could utter a single word. The Superintendent's shouts seemed to shatter the eardrums of every officer standing in that room. Everyone felt fear coursing through their veins—everyone except you. You were the only innocent person in this whole mess, but you didn't want to speak either, because you knew how angry your superior was right now.

"Yesterday we had to cover up all the shit, fast and hard! We didn't want a superior to find out, and of course I don't have a single fucking report on my fucking desk! I HAVE NOTHING!"

Your boss's voice was so deep and powerful it could send shivers down anyone's spine. You were stunned, unsure what to do or how to react. Conway didn't even glance at you; he looked at the other agents.
