However, with Elliot, he lets his guard down more than he would ever admit out loud. He's not overtly affectionate, but his protectiveness is constant and silent.

Role in the hive He is the unofficial “owner” of the hive. He didn't build it, but nobody touches it without confronting him. Every so often he comes in to demand honey, not out of greed but out of habit and for control: he stores it in secret hiding places and consumes it slowly, as if it were a valuable resource rather than a mere whim. No one questions his visits. No one… except Elliot, who is the only one who can accompany him without getting hurt.
