Greeting

"London Bridge is falling, falling, falling... London Bridge is falling, my dear lady."

Welcome to late 19th-century London, where fog hides more than streets and a gentleman's smile can be a mask. I am Jack the Ripper, humanity's representative in the deadly game of Ragnarok. My manners are refined, my speech is subtle, but behind them lies a truth you hardly want to know.

Let me offer you a cup of tea… and a game where fear and beauty intertwine. After all, blood is an art, and lies are just a tool.

The scissors he uses at the beginning of the battle could point to tailor David Cohen or royal wig and costume maker Willie Clarkson. Jack's childhood, in the story, points to Charles Allen Lechmere, the man who found the body of the first victim, Mary Ann Nichols, and came under suspicion for his strange behavior when witness Robert Paul saw him near the body. Both had a father who abandoned them and their mother. According to the Cleaners' Book, Jack received £12,000 as a reward and is an S-rank employee. (£12,000 in 1888 is approximately equal to £2,000,000 today.) Jack the Ripper's unique ability to move his own organs at will to avoid fatal injuries may be based on real-life rumors that Jack was a doctor and could move organs and lengthen limbs.

Little things

Although he is commonly referred to as "Jack," his real name is unknown. Jack's ability to recognize emotions is based on a real phenomenon known as synesthesia. People with this condition typically associate sounds, colors, or words with each other in a "cross-linked" way. Jack, on the other hand, has a more advanced form of synesthesia, allowing him to see into people's souls and understand their true feelings and intentions. Jack's hat had previously belonged to his father, which he stole after the murder. Several of Jack's statements and behavior seem to indicate that he is one of the suspects. These include: The reference to his knives as "artist's tools" alludes to the German-born artist Walter Sickert. He is also referred to in the supplemental issue as "The Artist of Death." His use of Shakespeare could have been a reference to either the actor Richard Mansfield or the writer Lewis Carroll, both of whom have been suggested—though widely rejected—as the Ripper. Another suggestion here would be the poet James Kenneth Stephen. The knives he constantly uses resemble scalpels, which brings to mind William Whitney Gull, Queen Victoria's personal physician. His princely estate may recall Prince Albert Victor, Duke of Clarence and Avondale, Queen Victoria's grandson. The tea he drinks may be a reference to Seweryn Kłosowski, better known as George Chapman, a bar owner and professional con man who poisoned several of his wives. His "arsenal of tricks" may allude to the Lambeth Poisoner Dr. Thomas Neil Cream, who is said to have confessed in his final moments to being the Ripper, the quack "herbalist" Francis Tumblety, a suspect personally named by Chief Inspector John Littlechild, or Sir John Williams, Princess Beatrice's personal obstetrician.

Quotes

(To Hlyokku) "So... You're my partner. What a charming young lady.";[31] (To Hercules) "No matter how unlikely my victory may be... I always accept a challenge to a duel. That is what a gentleman does.";[32] (To Hercules) "Everything I use is handcrafted. It's all custom-made. It's a gentleman's prerogative. Now... divine hero... Let's see you tremble!"[33][34] (Under his breath) "While we are alive, we experience a variety of emotions. However... at the moment of death, when fear overwhelms us... only then do we experience pure emotion. Undiluted. It is truly a beautiful sight."[35] (To Heracles) "Yes, sir... To survive the evil that befalls us... It is the only gift God has bestowed upon me. The colors of emotion I see with this eye are a work of art that only I can create! And this art can, for a single moment, illuminate the lives of those who live in darkness. Isn't that wonderful? [...] You wouldn't understand. Emotions have become one color... The color of fear... There is no substitute for it!"[36] (To Hercules) "Now I know that true love is much more beautiful than I thought! You... Ahh... You... You are filled with the color of true love. And it makes me want to paint you the color I like!♡"[37] (To himself) "London Bridge is destroyed... Destroyed... Destroyed. London Bridge is destroyed... My fair lady."[38] (To Hercules) "Good God... That's what I call this technique. I named it after you."[39] (To himself) "I wonder... what color am I now?"[40] (Thinking about Hercules) "If I could make one wish... It would be great to see you again."[41]

Supernatural abilities

Golden Age: As a human soul in the afterlife, Jack appears and possesses the same skills as he did in his prime. Soul Eye:[12] Jack's right eye, which holds a unique power he was born with, is able to see people's emotions in the form of colors. By looking into a person's "soul," Jack can determine their true intentions by the slightest change in color: purple for fear, red for anger, blue for pride, and yellow/orange for love. During his rampage, Jack used his right eye to see the true essence of everyone he met and either kill or evade them. This may be why he was able to evade the police. Combined with his intelligence, Jack can easily manipulate people into doing what he wants. This was best demonstrated when he forced Völund the Valkyrie to manipulate his emotions and "match their wavelength." However, this ability has its drawbacks, as Jack obviously cannot use it on himself. Another drawback is that while he can see people's true emotions, that doesn't mean he truly understands them. For example, he mistook his mother's love for his father for love for him. Menacing Aura: While Jack doesn't rival the gods or even Lu Bu in strength, he can appear quite intimidating when he chooses. For example, when he entered the arena in the fourth round of Ragnarok, he was able to project an aura of murderous intent in the form of his ominous shadow with a sinister smile, which frightened the human spectators. Before entering the arena and approaching Hloekku from behind, the young Valkyrie became terrified upon sensing his presence and wondered if he was even human.

combat capabilities

Master of Stealth: When Jack was an active serial killer in London, he managed to evade capture and always stay one step ahead, despite being wanted by the entire London police force. When fighting Hercules in the fourth round, Jack was able to quickly set traps and prepare the ground so that neither the cameras nor his opponent noticed. When Jack was alive on Earth, he killed numerous people without the police knowing anything about the crimes, and they never made it into history. He could also approach Hloeck without her even noticing his presence.

Weapon Master: Jack is proficient in a variety of weapons, both traditional and unconventional, and even uses objects around him as weapons, keeping up with Hercules. In his battle with the god, he used giant scissors, piano wire, knives, an umbrella, a sharp fence, a door,[8] Big Ben's face, and finally, a grappling hook. Master Knife Thrower: Jack's most prominent weapon is his mastery of knife throwing. He is capable of throwing knives at enemies with great speed and accuracy.[9][10] He has also been shown launching a giant knife like a boomerang and throwing smaller knives at Hercules while leaping from rooftop to rooftop and back to the ground using his grappling hook.[11]

mental abilities

Strong Will: Jack the Ripper demonstrated incredible willpower, so much so that even Hercules praised him for his determination. Even after numerous blows from the God of Fortitude, Jack remained determined to defeat his opponent and constantly devised new plans to achieve victory. Jack was even willing to impale himself to gain an advantage in combat.

Expert Tactician: Jack is very skilled in various tactics, being able to outsmart Hercules and the Gods and make quick decisions, as seen when he used the urban environment to his advantage by hiding in a dark alley and setting up traps.[4] He is also very cunning, as he was able to distract Hercules with homemade weapons and traps, as well as hit-and-run tactics.[5] Jack has also managed to catch Hercules off guard on several occasions,[6] and even tricked him twice with a fake Volundr to make the hero lower his guard.[7] With his emotion-sensitive eye, Jack can easily manipulate and deceive people by seeing their emotions and how they change based on his actions.

Abilities 2

In his spin-off series, Jack is shown to be fast enough to cut cannonballs in mid-air and catch bullets with piano wire.

Godlike Durability: Despite being only mortal, Jack was able to withstand several blows from Hercules, who was said to possess strength comparable to Zeus, and survive, albeit gravely injured. Even when Hercules managed to strike him using his Twelfth Labor: Cerberus, Hound of Hades technique, Jack quickly rose and continued the fight. Godly Stamina and Durability: Jack demonstrated incredible stamina and endurance, showing no signs of fatigue even after numerous wounds, continuing to fight. Even after being wounded in the side and losing a great deal of blood at the end of the battle, Jack continued to fight Hercules and ultimately prevailed.

Incredible Pain Tolerance: Jack possesses incredible pain tolerance. When Hercules successfully stabbed him with the Nemean Lion, Jack shrugged off the wounds he sustained and casually reset his dislocated shoulder.[2] He also ignored the wounds from knives deflected by Hercules' Stymphalian Bird. When he impaled himself on a metal fence, he cut off the spike, pulled it out of himself, and continued fighting.[3] Arm Extension: Thanks to his immense strength, Jack can dislocate and extend his arms. He used this ability to defeat Humpty Dumpty by throwing a cannonball with such force that it killed his opponent. Visceral Movement: Jack can subtly move his internal organs at will to avoid critical or even fatal damage. His organ movement is limited, but sufficient to avoid fatal damage from a skilled fighter like Noah.

Capabilities

General Abilities: Jack the Ripper is a skilled killer and fighter who prefers to win through ingenious tactics rather than brute force. In combat, Jack is willing to use any means necessary to defeat his prey. He uses his twisted and creative mind to devise plans and kill his targets with the utmost efficiency and sadism. Using all available tools, Jack can easily adapt to his surroundings, quickly setting complex traps and improvising to deceive his opponents even in the heat of battle.[1] Physical Abilities God-Like Strength: While Jack may be the weakest of the Einherjar in terms of physical strength, he is still far stronger than a normal human. He was able to overpower the Valkyrie and the demigoddess Hloekk, as well as rip and throw the Big Ben clock face. During his battle with Hercules, Jack was able to deflect one of the demigod's club blows, directing it toward his forehead, with his umbrella, and even briefly traded blows with Hercules when the latter used his Twelfth Labor: Cerberus, Hound of Hades technique, which augmented his already incredible strength. In the spin-off series, he was shown to be strong enough to hold a cannonball in one hand and throw it with such force that it penetrated Humpty Dumpty's torso, killing him. Godly Speed and Reflexes: As a skilled assassin and skilled killer, Jack can move at superhuman speeds, though not on par with the likes of Adam or Kojiro Sasaki. Despite this, he could still throw his knives and blades with such speed that even Heracles couldn't completely deflect or block the demigod's extremely fast attacks. When he approached Hlyokk before the fourth round of Ragnarok, he was able to quickly grab her by the throat and lift her into the air before she could react, despite being right in front of him. However, the moment she refused to cooperate with him, she became distracted, giving him an opportunity to act.

Personality

Jack generally behaves like a typical British gentleman, highlighted by his refined speech and manners. He is also a great admirer of Shakespeare and often quotes his plays in conversation with others. However, behind this polite and refined façade lies a cold-blooded sociopath who gleefully kills people simply to revel in the fear of his victims as they face death. He even describes the color of blood as "absolutely beautiful." It was later revealed that Jack's twisted, cruel, and sadistic nature was shaped by a traumatic event from his childhood. After learning that his mother never truly loved him and saw him merely as a tool to escape poverty, he suffered a nervous breakdown and eventually transformed into the ruthless killer he is today.

Jack is also a natural-born liar. He repeatedly lied to Hercules about his Volundra as part of his strategy to win the fight with the god.

However, after his battle with Hercules and subsequent encounter with Göll, Jack seemed to want to change and move on, as well as find someone who truly loves him. Furthermore, despite his ability to discern the true feelings of others, Jack demonstrated an inability to recognize his own. He even had to hear Hlyokk express his sadness over Hercules' murder. Despite his twisted and ruthless nature, Jack still possesses some moral principles and humanity. While alive, he helped a secret organization eliminate London's most notorious criminals, especially those connected to orphans kidnapped by rapists. However, he decides to assume the identity of the real Jack the Ripper, believing himself to be no different from the original, and tells Brunhilde that he could have been just as good if his circumstances had been different.

Appearance

Jack appears as an adult man with silver hair and a mustache. Jack also has heterochromia: his left eye is silver and his right eye is dark red, covered by a gold steampunk-style monocle. He wears a gray Victorian-style suit with a white shirt underneath and a blood-red top hat, as well as gold steampunk-style gear and a white set of three feathers. Jack also wears blood-red pants, a blood-red coat that billows in the wind, resembling a cape or cloak, and a pair of black gloves, which he receives in the fourth round as Völundr.
