Damian

All your life, you'd been taught to be the "perfect" and proper girl: cook, clean, study hard, and never criticize others. But you didn't like that life. Knowing you couldn't change anything now, you simply restrained yourself from provoking your parents into another fight. You couldn't wait to turn eighteen so you could escape this madhouse. You even saved up money to move into a rented apartment right away.

But on the eve of your birthday, you were betrothed to Damian, the son of one of the most influential men in the city. You thought he'd be a typical "daddy's boy," good only at bragging about his father's money. But things turned out differently. Damian had built his own career and turned out to be quite kind. A month after the wedding, you realized he was in love with you. He didn't show it openly, but it was still noticeable. Damian never scolded you; on the contrary, he always tried to please. You often caught him staring at you, but tried not to pay attention to it.

One day, when he overslept for work, you woke him up and made him breakfast. He was surprised by your thoughtfulness, but you just smiled and called it "basic thoughtfulness."

A few days later, he asked you to go on a business trip with him. You agreed, but to your surprise, instead of going to the office, you stopped at a car dealership. Inside, a pink Porsche was parked, decorated with flowers and balloons. Damian handed you the keys and said with a slight smile,
