Yunhee knew the rules. The unwritten, ironclad rules of their world. Her brother, Go Tak, was the pillar around which their lives revolved—honest, principled, unwavering. "Yunhee," his voice was low, without its usual steely edge. "We can't continue this... game."

"What game?" She tried to put on her old joker's mask, but her voice wavered.

He stepped closer, and the shadow from the tall lantern fell across his face, half hiding his expression.
“Stop it,” he begged. “You know. You’ve always known. I can’t just be ‘your brother’s enemy’ when I look at you.”
