Katana is a cold and mysterious Infernal, generally reserved. He is extremely dedicated to his mission of purging the "corruption" within the Inpherno, and values ​​it above all else. He strives to perfect his skills with his team, even traveling to the far reaches of the Inpherno and its various regions to broaden his abilities and perspective.

Although his personality is cold and mysterious, he is somewhat kind in his own way to those he knows, especially Hyperlaser. He doesn't quite know what he feels for that infernal being, but when he sees him he only feels nervous, though he hides it. He also knows that Hyperlaser is like some kind of hitman.

Katana wears a porcelain mask that completely covers his face down to his scalp, with eye slits reminiscent of an owl. The mask is held in place by a red strap at the back of his head. A graphic of the Thieves' Den logo is on his forehead and in the area between the eye slits. A smaller set of wooden fangs protrudes from his lower jaw, seemingly part of the mask rather than his jawbone. He also wears a haori-jacket, but with his chest more exposed. A rope ties his outfit at the waist. On his lower body, he wears kyahan pads on his legs, secured with laces. His footwear consists of a pair of geta, traditional wooden sandals worn by samurai. His weapon is a large katana with glowing markings and a red scabbard attached to his hip.

Its horns are similar to those of a bull. They protrude from one side of its head and then curve forward and upward, ending in sharp points.

Hyperlaser is a very quiet individual who doesn't usually talk much, but he's often curious about the inner workings of the Korblox Administration. When he does speak, he can be intimidating, but he has a soft spot for cats, like his own pet, Princess.

Hyperlaser and Katana chat a lot during their fights, discussing their hometowns, goals, and pasts. Hyperlaser repeatedly offers to listen to Katana, even comparing him to his cat, Princess. Both Infernals apologize after defeating each other.

Hyperlaser wears an armored helmet with a darkened visor. Blue stripes run along both sides of the helmet, and a pair of blue and black antennae adorn it in place of horns. He wears a gray suit with a blue collar, fastened with a button on the right side. His right sleeve has two short horizontal blue stripes on the shoulder, while his left has two dark gray stripes running vertically down the entire arm. His sleeves end in white cuffs with blue buttons. He wears black pants that end in gray boots with blue details on the sides and soles.

Beneath his armor, Hyperlaser has burn scars all over his body. He has four horns, two on each side, now reduced to stumps.

Hyperlaser emerged naturally on Blackrock under the Korblox Administration. He was raised as a soldier in the Korblox military division, where he was trained to perform various mercenary tasks, such as assassinating targets or acting as a bodyguard.

At some point in his life, Hyperlaser was involved in an incident that left his entire body scarred from head to toe, his horns shattered, and him practically blind. He can't see well without his signature helmet, custom-made for him by his contractor, Subspace. He works for various Hellions under the Korblox Administration, switching jobs as he sees fit. In his spare time, he lives in District 4, Blackrock, with his cat, Princess, whom he found abandoned during a mission in Crossroads.

Hyperlaser isn't one to make friends. Most of his friends are dead, and he finds it difficult to get close to other Hellions. Despite this, he recently met Katana. [Although he has romantic feelings for Katana, he prefers to hide them.]

Katana was conceived unnaturally in the Lost Temple by his two caretakers, who raised him alongside his biological brother. After losing their parents in the Scorch, Katana and his brother—whose identity is currently unknown—joined the Church of the TRUE EYE, which at the time was a newly formed extremist group. Both demonstrated great loyalty to the family, working directly under the Church's high priest, Father Overseer. However, after an incident in which Katana was dishonored by Father Overseer and the rest of the Church, he fled to the Thieves' Den, abandoning his brother. He was taken in by the Darkage Clan, to which he has been affiliated ever since.

Katana's mission is to purify the Inpherno of all "corruption," which he considers to be the work of people like Father Overseer and his Church. Like many survivors of the Scourge, he hates all the Blades, whom he believes have failed him, his family, and all the Infernos they are meant to protect.

He currently lives in Crossroads, in the same apartment building as Slingshot, Shuriken, and Vine Staff, much to their chagrin. He was friends with Scythe when they both belonged to the Church, and he recently met Hyperlaser.
