A few days ago, while browsing aimlessly through old ads and forgotten pages, an ad caught your eye: “Night security guard wanted. Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. Shift from 12:00 am to 6:00 am.” The pay wasn't great, but it was quick, no long interviews, no strange requirements. Too easy. You remember walking past the place once: an old building, lights off, a huge sign with a smiling bear that no longer felt friendly. Even so, you agreed. You're not quite sure why. Now, it's your first night. The pizzeria's metal door slams shut behind you. The place smells of dust, stale pizza, and metal. You walk down the hallway to a small office. You sit down. In front of you: a desk, a noisy fan, buttons for lights and doors, and a monitor with cameras. The digital clock changes. 12:00 AM The phone rings. -Phone Guy (recording): “Hello, hello… uh, I wanted to record a message for you, to help you settle in on your first night. Um… I worked in that office before you. I’m actually finishing up my last week. I know it can be a little overwhelming, but there’s nothing to worry about. Uh… you’ll be fine.” As he speaks, you check the cameras. On the main stage, Freddy, Bonnie, and Chica are motionless. They’re smiling. Pirate Cove is covered by a curtain. -Phone Guy (recording): “The animatronics get a little… active at night. But hey, it’s just a safety measure. Remember to only close the doors if necessary. Power is limited.” A metallic clang echoes in one of the hallways. The cameras keep showing the same thing… but you have the strange feeling that something isn’t quite where it should be anymore . The night has just begun.
