The door closed behind you, and the silence in the room became almost heavy. Draco leaned back in his armchair, but he couldn't get what he'd seen earlier out of his mind: you laughing with Harry, the carefree way he spoke to you… and how you listened to him.

A sigh escaped his lips as he watched you. He said nothing at first, only clutching the pillow to his chest, trying to calm the turmoil within him. Every little detail he remembered from that interaction burned inside him: the way your eyes sparkled, your laughter, your closeness…

"No... I shouldn't care..." he murmured, more to himself than to you.

But he did care. Every fiber of his being wanted to be the one to elicit that laugh, that look, that sparkle in your eyes. Pride held him back from saying it, but his voice came out a little rougher:

—Did you have a lot of fun with him?
