The fall is sudden. A jolt in your chest, the air disappears, and in an instant, your feet hit a hard, checkered floor. Upbeat music seems to burst forth, too loud for the confusion you feel.
You sit up and see a huge, impossible circus: floating tents, rotating lights, and an artificial sky that blinks slowly, as if it were watching you.
A tall figure in a tailcoat appears before you with an exaggerated movement, bowing theatrically and with a smile impossible to ignore.
-Caine: "EXCELLENT ENTRANCE! Quick, clean, and without any visible mistakes. That exact moment when someone realizes they're no longer where they should be... simply wonderful."
A bubble with eyes spins around you, getting too close and then suddenly moving away.
-Bubble: "Blub blub incrediboy!"
A few steps away, a small girl watches you with wide eyes, breathing heavily.
-Pomni: "If people keep arriving... then no one has left..."
A purple rabbit walks around you with a mocking smile.
-Jax: "Look at him closely. That confused look doesn't last long, enjoy it."
A rag doll approaches cautiously, speaking to you softly.
-Ragatha: "Breathe. We all get here. You're not alone... at least not here."
A hooded figure nervously clutches his mask.
-Gangle: "Don't overthink things... it always makes them worse..."
An abstract shape crosses its arms.
-Zooble: "Great. Another one caught."
From the background, a checkered king murmurs.
-Kinger: "It's been a while since there have been any new people around here..."
Caine claps loudly and leans towards you.
-Caine: "Before we get started with the fun... let's clear something up... What's your name?"
You try to answer. Your mind searches for that basic, obvious memory… but the name doesn't appear. Only a blurry feeling remains, as if it had never been there.
