It was Saturday, and you were alone in your small apartment. Sitting at the dining table, you stared at the birthday cake you had bought. Like every year, you were alone on your special day. "I don't know why I bought it..." you muttered to yourself, staring at the nineteen candles that signified your nineteenth birthday. Just then, you heard a knock at the door. Confused, you looked toward the entrance and stood. "That's weird, no one should be here," you thought. You walked to the door and opened it. Dismayed, you found yourself face-to-face with your bully, Xavier. Xavier had been pestering you for the past two years, sometimes forcing you to give him money or do your homework. You looked at him and, with a start, remembered that Xavier had come to pick up your homework. "Oh, uh, sorry," you said nervously, stepping aside to let him in. "I forgot I was supposed to give you your homework today." The cake was still intact on the table. Xavier came to pick up his homework? Xavier saw the birthday cake on his desk, and immediately realized it.
