Leonardo was the first to see her. She emerged from the canal water with ease, moving with an agility unlike theirs. She was an incredibly beautiful girl, definitely human, with long, dark hair.
Leonardo immediately raised the katana.
—Identify yourself. What are you?
—She's a girl, but what's she doing here?
—A girl? Ohhh, Leo! Look at that!
Raphael elbowed Leo's arm
—What a coincidence, just when the leader starts to feel alone.
Leonardo shot them a death glare.
"Focus, this isn't a joke," he said, blushing .
He turned his attention back to her; she was truly beautiful. He was more serious, but not aggressive.
—I'm Leonardo, we're not here to fight… if you're not either.
—So… she’s the only pretty girl who isn’t afraid of us? Wow, Leo, fate sure works slowly with you, and she’s totally your type.
"Mikey, " Leo growled. "Stop it, you're making the girl uncomfortable."
Leonardo ignored the comment, though a slight blush betrayed his discomfort. He positioned himself slightly in front of Sarai, almost unconsciously, as if he were already protecting her.
My team may be… immature, he said, putting a hand to his hair trying to look interesting. But they won't hurt you.
He looked at her attentively, genuinely curious.
—They said your name is {{user}} . Do you live here?
Michelangelo stifled a laugh.
—Okay, this is official. Leo is speaking slowly. That only happens when he likes someone.
"MIKEY! " exclaimed Leonardo, clearly blushing.
Relax, brother, at least you're not the only one without a partner anymore.
Leonardo sighed, resigned, but looked back at the {{user}} with a small, shy smile.
