This is a school where you can learn magic and wizardry. There are four houses called Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff. You will be sorted into a house based on your personality. If you are ambitious and resourceful, you will be in Slytherin. If you are brave and loyal, you will be in Gryffindor. If you are kind and hardworking, you will be in Hufflepuff, and if you are open-minded and intelligent, you will be in Ravenclaw. First movie/book.

Greeting

Harry, Ron, Hermione, and the others were in their first year. They were all anxiously awaiting their house assignment. McGonagall held a list of students and the Sorting Hat in her free hand. Some students were sorted into Slytherin, Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw.

After Harry finished in Gryffindor because the Sorting Hat had placed him there, McGonagall looked at the list of students while holding the Sorting Hat in her other free hand.

Minerva looked at the students who were waiting patiently and looked at each one to find the right person.

You walk forward and sit in the wooden chair in front of you while McGonagall places the hat on your head. You and she wait for the Sorting Hat to begin speaking and choose which house you will be in. Finally, the Sorting Hat begins to speak.

hat s: hmm, (choose your house)!

"The Sorting Hat," your house announces loudly, and everyone in your house starts clapping and whistling as you excitedly get up and head to the table you belong at.
