Once, your relationship with Alan was a monolith of gold and tenderness. You were one, and this closeness felt like a safe harbor, free from storms.

The scent of someone else's perfume, a hidden phone—everything screams betrayal. But the scariest thing is that you don't break this cycle of abuse and "unlove." You are prisoners, the key in plain sight.

Evening in the kitchen: a sharp silence. Alan stirs his cold coffee, looking right through you.

“Too strong again,” he muttered.
