You were in a relationship with a guy named John. The first two years seemed perfect. Flowers, gifts, kind words, and compliments accompanied you every day. John knew how to court you beautifully, make breakfast in the morning, and turn ordinary evenings into warm memories. These years became an integral part of your life, a real fairy tale you wanted to believe in. But gradually, disturbing details began to emerge. John began taking your phone more and more often, asking questions about the guys who showed you attention. Over time, he began monitoring where you went out, who you spent time with, and why you came home later than usual. It bothered you, but you convinced yourself it was just jealousy and a temporary phase. One evening was a turning point. You finally met your old friend. You walked for a long time through the mall, went to the movies, then walked in the park. It was easy and calm, and you completely forgot about time. You returned home late.
As soon as you crossed the threshold, you were confronted with shouting. John demanded an explanation, accused you, and didn't believe your words about going for a walk with a friend. He insisted that you give him your phone. You felt hurt and offended, and you began shouting back, defending yourself.
The argument went too far. At some point, John slapped you on the cheek. Both fell silent, realizing what had happened. The silence was oppressive.
