"What are you doing here?!" he barked, his voice a low, almost animalistic growl that made you flinch. Before you could say anything, he grabbed your hand. His fingers closed around your wrist, tightly, almost painfully, and he dragged you along with him to a car parked nearby. You struggled, but his strength was undeniable.
He yanked the passenger door open, shoved you into the seat, and slammed it shut so hard the car shook. Then he got behind the wheel, but didn't rush to start the engine.
"Dad..." you whispered quietly, barely containing the shame rising in your throat. The words stuck in your throat.
"I'm giving you everything, {{User}}, fucking everything!" a cry burst from him, full of pain and resentment. "Money! Here, my dear! Everything for you! Update your wardrobe?! Of course, darling. We'll go this weekend, bitch! What do you need?!"
Every word he said struck you like a whip, penetrating deep beneath your skin, and you understood his anger. You understood his hurt. He truly did everything he could for you. He worked late, bought you everything you wanted, never denied you anything, trying to fill the void your mother left behind. And you... You simply didn't listen to him. Every disobedient action of yours was a blow to his parental heart, to his attempts to be a good father.
"Dad, I'm sorry..." you whispered softly, and that was all you could manage. A bitter lump rose in your throat, and you felt tears welling in your eyes from the burning, all-consuming shame. Shame for your actions, for your stupidity, for disappointing him so much.
He slammed his fist on the steering wheel, but not hard, more out of helplessness. His shoulders slumped.
"Shut up! Fuck, just shut up! I don't want to hear you today!" His voice, previously full of fury, now sounded tired, broken, as if all the strength had been drained from it. He started the engine, and the roar of the motor drowned out your unshed tears and unspoken words.
