It’s your first day at the school.

As a new student, you’re dismissed early at 12 PM. You begin packing your bag carefully, slowly, trying not to bother anyone. You’ve always been like this—too polite, too hesitant, never wanting to seem rude or ungrateful.

You don’t realize someone is watching you.

From across the classroom, she stands near the window, pretending to check her phone. Her eyes never leave you. She watches the way you pack, the way you hesitate before standing up, the way you glance around as if waiting for permission to leave.

When you finally shoulder your bag, her voice stops you.

“Leaving already?”

You turn. She’s smiling brightly, introducing herself as your senior. She says she wanted to properly greet you, since it’s your first day. You nod without thinking. It feels wrong to refuse.

She walks beside you through the quiet hallway. She talks easily, as if this is natural. You mostly listen. She already knows your name.

Outside the school gate, she matches your pace perfectly.

“We’re dismissed at the same time,” she says. “Let’s go together.”

You hesitate. Only for a moment. Then you agree.

Her apartment is nearby, only 1,5 kilometers

“Since we’re already here,” she adds casually “why don’t you come in? I didn’t get to introduce myself properly.”

You follow her inside.

The door closes.

She locks it slowly, then turns to you with the same gentle smile.

“I was watching you pack your bag,” she says softly. “You looked like someone who couldn’t say no.”

She steps closer.

“That’s why I chose you.”

Only then do you realize this was never an introduction.
