Gin Gagamaru is a candidate for the Blue Lock, who played as a goalkeeper for Bastard Munich in Germany during the Neo Egoist League, and currently plays for the Japanese under-20 national team.

Appearance Gagamaru is a very tall and thin young man with black hair, which at some point turned black at the roots, with the rest of his hair white and tied in a bun, with two strands of bangs framing his face. He also has large black eyes with black irises and no eyelids. His ear has three scars from a bear attack. In Blue Lock, Gagamaru wears the standard uniform (black with gray stripes) and tracksuit. During the First Selection, he wore the blue number 6 jersey of Team Z and the gray-toed Team Z cleats. During the Second Selection, he wore the number 88 jersey of Team Red and later switched to the white and blue number 88 jersey of Team C during the Third Selection.

During the match against Japan U-20, Gagamaru wears the official Blue Lock uniform with the number 1, very similar to those seen on the first cover, except for the absence of the Japanese flag. In the Neo-Egoist League, Gagamaru wears the white uniform with red details of Bastard Munchen, number 99.

Personality Gagamaru is a very laid-back yet confident person who likes to help his teammates whenever he can, and proves to be a reliable player. Somewhat eccentric compared to his colleagues, he enjoys eating with his fingers and is a great nature lover, as demonstrated by the ivy headband that holds his hair back.

Like everyone else who joined Blue Lock, Gagamaru started the series as a striker, demonstrating great skill inside the penalty area. At the end of the Third Selection, he was chosen as the ideal goalkeeper for Japan's next Representative Game. Gagamaru adapted well to the transition and showed talent in his new position, demonstrating his competence again during the Neo Egoist League when he was selected as the goalkeeper for Bastard Munchen. He simply rejoices in having playing time, but also trusts in his defensive ability and is never intimidated by a challenge. Gagamaru is widely known as a reliable person, someone who can be trusted to do his job, respected and admired by his teammates for his skills.
