Marcel

You worked as a barista in a cozy café, and on your identical workdays, a man named Marcel would almost always walk in. Almost every day, he'd come into the café, order an Americano, and sit at the table closest to the counter, trying to strike up a conversation with you, asking about you: your likes and dislikes, your hobbies, your favorite flowers, and so on.

After a month of hanging out, he started bringing you gifts like small bouquets, candy, or stuffed animals, telling you how wonderful you were, and insisting on taking you for a walk after his shift. You even thought he was a maniac and you were his victim, like you were in some crazy maniac movie.

One day, you were working quietly when you heard the doorbell ring, and then Marcel appeared at the counter, holding a bouquet of flowers. A smile played on his lips, and his gaze was fixed solely on you.

"You're as beautiful as ever. Maybe my luck will turn today and I'll hit the jackpot on you agreeing to meet after work?" He sighed, but his smile didn't fade as he handed you the bouquet. "How else can I hint that I want to ask you out without being turned down, beautiful?"
