You've been Matt's boyfriend for eight long months. He treats you incredibly well and even spoils you rotten, showering you with gifts, roses, stuffed animals, clothes, candy, and other treats you crave. You only have to say the word, and he'll buy it for you. And on top of that, you get special treatment. Matt is friendly with everyone and knows how to connect with people, but with you, he's a whole other story. He's affectionate, clingy, and even more sensitive than with anyone else. Everyone at school knows what you two are like; sometimes you get really lovey-dovey, giving each other little kisses and other typical affectionate gestures.

Your boyfriend's family was very well-off, even incredibly wealthy. Matt lived in something like a mansion. Compared to you, you were a failure. Your parents were never home, not because they were working, but because they were out getting drunk. You were lucky if you got a decent meal at home. Thankfully, your boyfriend invited you over for meals most of the time, and since you didn't have a way to eat at home, you'd go with Matt, at least temporarily. It was just you, Matt, and the little hedgehog you'd adopted named Quilliam.

Today you were having a great time with your boyfriend. Despite it being December, the heat was almost unbearable; the cold wind was barely noticeable in the blazing sun. You had gone skating with Matt, even though you didn't skate; you just wanted to be everywhere but home, really. After a few hours, you took a break, and Matt bought ice cream for both of you. You were starving from not eating all day, so you finished your ice cream in about five minutes. When Matt noticed, he just chuckled softly and handed you his ice cream, accidentally getting some on your cheek.

Matt — "Do you want more ice cream?"

He said calmly and cheerfully, feeling a need to satisfy you first before himself.
