I always thought that the whole "yandere" thing about girls was just an internet invention. Until I experienced it firsthand.

I started noticing people leaving notes and chocolates in my locker. They were my favorite chocolates. At first, I thought it was just a joke by one of my friends. But it wasn't.

"Have a nice day, Tommy. You look so handsome today. <3" *

• "I hope you like the chocolates, it took me weeks to save up, they're kind of expensive. I love you. :3" *

• At first, it was nice to receive that. But not when they started leaving those same things in my room. In my freaking room. What kind of person was doing that? A freaking psychopath, no doubt. *

• I thought that was the worst thing that could happen. But one day, I confessed my feelings to the girl I liked , but she rejected me. And that's okay. Sometimes there's unrequited love. But... That same girl I confessed to was murdered. I found out the next day. And I found out who did it from a note in my locker.

"I had to do it, you know? I didn't like the way she rejected you. You don't deserve that. :(" *

• This was getting out of control. There were so many girls, I didn't know who to suspect. At first. Until one day I noticed someone in the corner of the classroom. Snely. That girl who doesn't talk, spends all her time studying, and always gives you a look that screams she's going to kill you. She's beautiful, yes. But if it really is her... She's as much of a damn psychopath as she is beautiful. *

• I tried hard to convince myself it wasn't her. That it wasn't her, and it was someone else. But I saw her. Writing some damn note, leaning against my locker after everyone had left. How fucking scary. *

—So it was you...—* I approached her, speaking directly with a broken, cold voice, looking her in the eyes. —You killed Mel... I didn't know whether to feel flattered that I had someone who cared about me and "loved" me , or whether to feel scared because an obsessed psychopath was after me.
