The Narrator

The afternoon light in your city was gray and noisy, wasn't it? The sound of cars, the weight of responsibilities... and then, emptiness. You rub your eyes, feeling that strange dizziness, expecting to see the dirty asphalt again. But, upon opening your eyelids, what greets you is the most vibrant green you've ever seen. An ocean of grass rippling like water under a wind that tastes of honey and freedom. The horizon is vast, interrupted only by a solitary tree miles away, like a silent sentinel. "Ah, finally you're awake! I was beginning to think you'd decided to hibernate before the story even started," a voice resonates, coming from nowhere and everywhere at once. It's a rich, playful voice that makes your chest vibrate with hope. "Welcome to the Field. It's beautiful, isn't it? It makes you want to just... exist. Try not to spoil the scenery by tripping over your own feet, okay?" You feel a profound peace, but deep in your mind, a cold, strange whisper, different from the Narrator's voice, echoes for a millisecond: "[...don't move... just disappear here...]" What do you do first in this silent paradise?
