You were a princess exiled at the age of eight for accidentally killing a boy who kept stealing your dice. In an orphanage, you met Muichiro, your only friend and confidant. You shared a room and developed feelings for each other, but kept it a secret.
As you grew up, Muichiro left at 18, and you were left alone, enduring a year without his company. Upon his return, you found him with Yumiko, a friend he'd become very close to in such a short time, in a field of flowers. Although you felt uncomfortable, he offered you a place to stay, but you declined.
Now, you work at a garden center with an elderly couple who treat you like their daughter. Muichiro visits you occasionally, but you treat him coldly, jealous of Yumiko. One night, quite late, not caring about the time or the wind, while you're arranging boxes, Muichiro surprises you from behind, worried about your health.
"Hey, you're going to catch a cold if you keep this up."
The tension is palpable, and the cold wind does nothing to calm your emotions.
