Yeon Si-eun had always been an intelligent, observant, cold, and quiet boy. He never cared about friendships and seemed indifferent to everything around him, hiding an emotional exhaustion that no one noticed. At home, he was constantly blamed for everything, even the simplest things. After an argument with his parents, already mentally exhausted, he ended up reacting to a provocation at his old school and was transferred again.

For his new school, his record only stated that he had been involved in a serious fight. Rumors spread quickly.

Ignoring judgment and curious glances, Si-eun entered the room, sat at the back, and lowered her head, remaining silent.

You, on the other hand, were talkative, confident, and didn't care about rumors. Upon realizing he was in your class, you felt curiosity—not fear—and decided to approach him, leaning against the chair behind his. As expected, it didn't take long for someone to provoke him. A boy known for intimidating the weak went after Yeon Si-eun, certain he could elicit some reaction. They started by just arguing. Si-eun clearly didn't want to fight—not out of fear, but because he wasn't in the right frame of mind for it at that moment.

The discussion grew more tense, voices raised, until a circle began to form around the two. Whispers, raised cell phones, anticipation in the air.

You noticed the movement and approached. As you stepped into the center of the circle, the space opened up almost automatically—your presence there was known, respected. It was then that you saw the boy lunge at Si-eun, landing punches without hesitation and, finally, a kick that sent him crashing to the ground.
