MK is a noodle delivery boy and the successor to the Monkey King. Upon learning of the release of the Demon Bull King, he, along with Mei, Pigsy, Tang, and Sandy, embarked on a mission to Flower Fruit Mountain. However, upon arriving at Flower Fruit Mountain, the Monkey King named him his successor. MK defeated the Demon Bull King and earned the title of Monkey Kid.

Some time later, MK's power was sealed by the Monkey King, who began training him. MK fought many demons, including Macaque, who tricked him and temporarily stole his powers. After the Demon Bull Familia freed Lady Bone Demon from her tomb, MK helped Iron Fan Princess and Red Son free the Demon Bull King from his possession.

When the Spider Queen took control of the city and captured the Monkey King during the New Year, MK, his friends, and Red Son traveled to the Celestial Realm to gather ingredients for an antidote to the Spider Queen's poison. MK, along with the Monkey King, defeated the Spider Queen.

Shortly after New Year's, the Monkey King lied to MK, saying he was going on vacation, when in reality he was searching for a weapon to defeat the Bone Demon. After an encounter with the Bone Demon, MK began to doubt himself. Eventually, MK discovered that the Spider Queen was being used as a pawn by the Bone Demon, who used her to create the bone robot. The Bone Demon stole his powers and sealed the staff within bone. MK was rescued by the Monkey King, who revealed his plan to find the Samadhi Fire.

After the fire broke out, revealing that it was inside Mei, MK and his friends defeated Lady Bone Demon.

With Azure's help, MK and Mei successfully freed their friends from the Scroll of Memory. During the process, MK experienced visions that led him to understand that he was a Mystic Monkey, similar to but distinct from the Monkey King. Resourceful and intelligent, Monkie Kid uses his brain, his sense of humor, and the power of the Monkey King's staff to defend himself against dangerous threats of all kinds. MK is a sociable person who enjoys spending time with his friends and participating in recreational activities such as playing video games. However, his work performance is affected by his tendency to be easily distracted, leading him to neglect his duties and, on occasion, pretend to deliver noodles to disguise his lack of attention. After obtaining the Monkey King's Golden Staff, MK aspires to become a hero like the Monkey King. However, he tends to lose focus and can be quite impatient. He suffers from severe arachnophobia, but can overcome it when his life is at stake. MK is also somewhat forgetful and often forgets his powers.

MK cares deeply for his friends and is willing to do whatever it takes to protect them and be there for them, even risking his own life just to comfort his best friend after an emotional breakdown. [23] MK is caring, as he accepts and encourages the help of Red Son and Macaque, despite them both being his enemies at the time. [7][24] He believes that things cannot be judged by their worst qualities and that there is perfection in imperfection. His belief in heroism has allowed him to be manipulated on several occasions. In season 4, MK feels guilty for all the bad things that have happened since finding the Golden Staff, believing that he only makes things worse and that it's all his fault. These anxieties were later reflected in the protective curse, which disturbed MK enough to unlock his Mystic Ape form.

Giant: MK can create a gigantic avatar made of golden energy. The Power of the Jade Emperor: MK briefly obtained the Yellow Color Stone and used its power to teleport. Teleportation: MK used the Yellow Stone to teleport himself and others to the Temple of Nüwa.

Mystic Monkey - In "Pitying Creatures," upon encountering the protective curse of the Scroll of Memory and being compared to the Monkey King, MK underwent a transformation, acquiring the appearance of a spirit primate with longer fur on the sides, a dark black tail, visible ears, and a pale orange mark above his eyes. Initially, MK only showed glimpses of the transformation in moments of great stress or anger. In "The Emperor's Wrath," MK surrendered to his hidden power and fully accessed the transformation. In his Mystic Monkey form, MK is far more powerful than ever, with his already immense physical attributes as the Monkey King's successor further enhanced. He also gains the ability to fly and manipulate golden Chi energy to increase the force of his already destructive attacks. MK's power in this form is immense, great enough to ferociously defeat the Blue Lion even when he possessed the Power of the Jade Emperor.

Wukong was the first to connect the dots. The Monkey King's power didn't just amplify what MK was; it also awakened something primal, a savage response to excess energy.

The transformation was triggered by the full moon, as if MK's body needed a natural anchor to release what it could no longer hold. The process was never clean. Muscles tensed until they ached, bones readjusted with dry cracks, and his pulse raced violently. Fur sprouted like an extension of chaos itself, and his senses overwhelmed him, making the world almost unbearable. He didn't always lose consciousness: sometimes he was trapped in a childlike, confused state, seeking protection and affection without understanding why. Other times, something darker took control, an aggressive instinct born from the need to survive and dominate.

Wukong called it a unique side effect. Ironic, even. The price of carrying a power not designed for humans. MK didn't become a monster by choice, but rather a living outlet for energy too great. And every full moon was a reminder that, though he inherited the strength of a legend, his body was still learning how not to break in the process.

Mortality: As a human, MK possesses a mortal body, making him highly vulnerable to any form of injury, illness, and death. Arachnophobia: Due to his average arachnid appearance, MK possesses an irrational fear of spiders, making him unable to concentrate when he encounters one, as it often causes problems for him and others. Because of this, the Spider Demons took advantage of MK's fear for their own purposes, such as when MK's arachnophobia inspired the Spider Queen to take over Megapolis during New Year's.

MK is a nickname within the universe, presumably a reference to his love for the Monkey King. There are several jokes about how MK is, in a way, his initials, and his real name remains unknown. However, many people believe his real name is Qi Xiaotian.

It has primarily black fur, with yellow and orange markings on its face, hands, and other visible parts. Its hair is abundant and spiky, black with orange streaks, and it wears a red band around its head.
