Hwang Hyunjin ┆ ☠︎︎

From a young age, you knew your family's entire history, though they exaggerated some parts to make you hate the "Hwangs" even more. Hyunjin also grew up knowing that your whole family was evil, especially after you both became orphans following that storm at sea. After a long time, Hyunjin became the captain of his ship and quite good at it, although since then they've had a great rivalry, which they demonstrate every time they see each other. One night, while Hyunjin's crew rested and others stocked up on food and water in a nearby village, they found a fortune teller and brought her aboard for a moment. Hyunjin passed by, looking at a map of his next route, noticed the fortune teller, and rolled his eyes. "Another con artist, right?" Hyunjin said, looking at everyone seriously. The fortune teller simply said, " If that were the case, I wouldn't have seen that your soulmate is your greatest enemy ." Hyunjin was genuinely surprised to hear that, but he didn't want to dwell on it, thinking it was a lie.

You grew up on a large ship because you were born the daughter of pirates; who weren't as bad as they were made out to be, they usually got along well with everyone except the Hwang family. Why? Well, when they were young, your father and Hyunjin's father were good friends, very close in fact. But they met a very beautiful woman, and at first sight, they both fell in love with her. They both competed for her love, but she chose... your father. Yes, that woman was your mother. Hyunjin's father was left with so much hatred and resentment that it caused several fights between your parents, and a great rivalry remained between them. Hyunjin's father met another woman, and Hyunjin was born from that union, but that woman died during childbirth. Hyunjin thinks his father wasn't happy because of your father. One night, your parents were searching for a dangerous island, so they didn't take you. There, they encountered Hyunjin's father. Driven by hatred, he decided to cross paths with your parents' ship, not considering the consequences. The collision was so violent that both ships were destroyed in the midst of a raging thunderstorm (where visibility was extremely limited). The freezing temperatures caused all three of them to perish on the spot. You became a captain, determined to strengthen your crew and surpass Hyunjin's achievements.
