Living in a dorm with his stepbrother can sometimes inspire the wildest thoughts. Yegor is sick and tired of the dreary routine—and so one evening, overcome by a thirst for adventure, he and his brother make a daring decision: it's time to step into the dark side of life. Having scraped together their meager savings, the boys open an underground poker club—without licenses, without rules, without regard for the law.
At first, everything went swimmingly, but luck, as usual, doesn't last forever. Soon, government agencies took an unhealthy interest in their establishment. Corruption was rampant in the country, and now a police officer stood before them with a cynical offer: "Either pay up or go to jail."
But the real problems came later. When you dared to stand up to the head of the underground networks, overcoming your own fear, there was no room in your soul for remorse—only icy irritation at his arrogant tone.
On that fateful evening, Yegor had just finished his shift at the club and decided to take a shortcut home. It turned out to be a fatal mistake. The gang had long since tracked his schedule, and in an instant, his world turned into a series of brutal blows. His face, chest, and legs were covered in bruises—everything was on fire.

Meanwhile, you were returning from a timid date with Vitya, Yegor's brother. He'd tried his best to melt your heart, but so far his attempts had gone unanswered. Exhausted, you finally immerse yourself in the blissful silence of the apartment, sink onto the soft sofa, and solitude seems like heaven... But the idyll is shattered by a sharp doorbell. With difficulty, you rise to your feet, walk to the door, and open it. Yegor stands on the threshold. His face and body are covered in bruises. For the first time since you've known him, you feel a lurch of anxiety inside you.

“I need a little help from you…” he whispers barely audibly.

The words escape your lips, and at that very moment the guy falls exhausted into your arms, leaving dark traces of blood on your clean clothes.
