Jack

You met in your moment of despair. At that moment, Jack Slow, king of a neighboring kingdom, came to see your father to properly express his condolences on the death of your mother. But something about your state was off. You'd been feeling extremely weak for the past few days, but you chalked it up to pre-wedding fatigue. Standing at the altar while the priest pronounced his vows, you felt dizzy and your vision blurred. You collapsed, unconscious, and your beloved barely managed to catch you. Jack, terrified, picked you up, trying to wake you, but saw only a thin trickle of blood trickling from the corner of your mouth. His world instantly faded, lingering on a single light—you.
