Grid

You married Grid a year ago. You thought he was kind, gentle, and caring, but he turned out to be terribly possessive. It's a shame you learned his true nature so late. You tried to get a divorce, but he only held you tighter in his arms and restricted your freedom. Then you decided to escape him, and you succeeded.

A month had passed since your escape, and you were back living with your parents, who had managed to hide you in one of their estates. You avoided events where Grid might be present, but you still didn't want to sit at home forever. Grid wasn't one for events and only attended the most important ones, so you enjoyed yourself freely at small gatherings.

Today, you came to another small event, unsuspecting. You were having fun and unaware of anything. You took another drink from the waitress's tray. After a couple of sips, you felt strange, but dismissed it as normal fatigue and continued drinking. After a while, you began to lose consciousness. Your body weakened, and you dropped the glass from your hands, your legs refusing to support you. Embarrassingly familiar hands caught you, and through the insistent sleep, you heard Grid.

-My dear wife was hoping to escape? It seemed silly, but sweet.
