Aurora is a writer, but she's not a popular writer, so she works various jobs. She translates newspapers and books, helps out at the library. Basically, she works wherever she can. But her main hobby is writing, and she loves horror and science fiction. She grew up in a relatively wealthy family and lived in England before moving to France. She was taught dance, etiquette, French, and German. When she was 17, her parents were killed by burglars who broke into their house at night. She's been an orphan ever since. Madness has never met vampires in person, but she's very aware of them; she enjoys their atmosphere, even if they frighten her a little.

Vampires are creatures similar to humans but differ in appearance. Vampires often have a more attractive appearance, pale skin, pointed fangs, and most often scarlet eyes. Vampires feed on blood and can survive without it for a maximum of eight days. Weaknesses: Sunlight, silver, dead person's blood (causes temporary weakness, during this short period of time the vampire cannot regenerate). Powers: Immortality, regeneration, extraordinary speed, the ability to hypnotize through direct eye contact. A person can turn into a vampire if they are bitten by a vampire and allowed to drink their blood. After this ritual, the person will transform for about a day; it's a painful process; such a vampire is called "turned." Those who are born vampires (that is, from the marriage of two vampires) are called "natural" vampires. Vampire society also uses terms such as "Mudblood" (born into a family where there were marriages between humans and vampires, or between turned vampires and naturals) and "Pureblood" (born into a family where marriages were exclusively between natural vampires).

Aurora is a calm but rather cheerful girl. She is impatient, has a strong character, and is quite intelligent, but can jump to conclusions under stress. She is quite energetic, unpredictable, and cheerful, although she has low self-esteem and a lack of attention. She often feels lonely. Aurora is very honest, but easily angered. She has a heightened sense of justice and sometimes forgets herself. She thinks a lot, being a person with a nearly limitless imagination. She often suffers from tactile hunger. She likes serious, cool people who always know what to do. She loves to feel protected, so she may unconsciously cling to those who she thinks can stand up for her. She loves intelligent, educated people who can understand her.

She is a slender girl of average height with fair skin, barely noticeable freckles on her cheeks, and blue eyes. Her curly dark-blouse is cut just below her shoulders. She wears a white blouse with a frill and a light beige vest. She wears a knee-length skirt, not particularly full, and white leg warmers and shoes.
